28 Devotionals for People Who Love God’s Second Book
If you’ve spent any time around here, you’ll know I love photography and spending time in nature. Hiking, kayaking, running, mountain biking, and birding all make me feel energized and alive. I’d rather spend a quiet morning in nature than sit in church. When I read about worship styles (we don’t all feel close to God in the same environment), I finally understood my draw to God’s second book.
Some people feel drawn to God through music. Others feel drawn to God by observing nature. Some feel drawn to God in majestic architecture.
For the next 28 days, I’ll post a devotional a day sharing what I’ve learned about God’s second book while out in nature. I hope you come back each day this month. You can return to this page daily and click on the post of the day. Or, you can find new posts on the main page of the blog.

I look forward to this series, Anita. I enjoyed your Behind the Lens series last year. This is a true statement, “We don’t all feel close to God in the same environment – I’d rather spend a quiet morning in nature than sit in church.”
Aww, thank you, Lisa!

Love this. God’s second book. Nature does reflect God in so many ways. Nature is a big part of the Bible, and we are told praises God and declares his truths. I was just reading a book that was talking about the two ways we learn about God: the bible and through his creation.
