These five self-care hacks will improve your health as you make them habits in your life. Which do you think is the most important for you?
Hacks to Improve Your Health Bonus Episode
“Walk every two hours, drink lots of water, get a lot of sleep, and try not to stress,” the surgeon told Pedro before discharging him from the hospital. Funny, four of those directives align with the five hacks to improve your short- and long-term health.
These past few weeks have filled us with stress and uncertainty. Pedro underwent surgery for cancer last week at a hospital far from home. That meant lesson planning for a substitute teacher for me, packing, traveling, and spending hours at the hospital.
In today’s episode, I mention a recent surgery I had which took place several years ago. I’m unashamedly recycling an episode from the first season of the Self-Care Hacks podcast. The essential self-care hacks from this episode help me handle the stresses of surgery, mine or Pedro’s.
Pedro improves daily, but we’ll be away from home for another ten days. God has provided gracious friends near the hospital where Pedro received treatment, so we have a lovely place to recover.
