If you don’t prioritize your physical health, you may end up losing it. How do I know? I learned the hard way. On today’s podcast, I’ll share five hacks to help you make physical health a priority in your life.
Should You Prioritize Your Physical Health?
It sounds like a silly question, I know. The answer? Only if you want to HAVE physical health! But how often do we go through life thinking our bodies will serve us well no matter what. As we age (and gain a few pounds), we figure those extra pounds and shortness of breath just come with the territory. I’ve learned the lie in this belief. If you don’t take time to prioritize your physical health, you can lose it.
For some, the loss comes with a sudden heart attack. Others might get the shocking news that they have diabetes. Not all disease is preventable (wouldn’t that be nice?)–but we can fight off some of those killers by adopting a healthier lifestyle. No, you don’t have to go all vegan-ultra-marathon-runner-weight-lifter overnight. Or ever. But you’ll want to prioritize your physical health if you intend to enjoy life to the fullest. Or enjoy your grandkids one day.
Remember that lasting change takes place a little at a time. Glaciers don’t form overnight. Improved physical health may take years to gain and a lifetime to maintain. But, trust me, the effort will pay off in other areas of your life as well.
