Have you ever thought you couldn’t learn something or do something? Me, too! These five self-care hacks will help you foster a growth mindset and overcome the negative narratives in your life.
What? You Can Actually Foster a Growth Mindset?!
Yes. Yes you can! All too often to believe the narratives people tell us about ourselves. Even worse, we create negative narratives and start limiting ourselves. But we don’t have to cling to old narratives. Just because Great-Grandma Ginny said you’d never be able to play the piano doesn’t mean you’ll never play the piano.
To foster a growth mindset means we start to examine the false narratives in our lives and choose which ones we want to throw out. We can rediscover our why and start taking steps to make positive changes in our life. Fostering a growth mindset doesn’t happen overnight, and it may require professional help.
But we are capable of doing so much more. We don’t have to settle for buried dreams and deferred desires. Change takes time and a growth mindset (and hard work). My grandpa modeled this for me. Look around you, maybe you know someone who has accomplished the unexpected. How will you let them inspire you?
