I’m pulling another podcast from the archives this week due to technical difficulties. People often ask me how long it takes to build a habit. I used to think it took a simple 21 days. Science shows this isn’t true.
Just How Long Does it Take to Form a Habit?
I’ve always thought it took just 21 days to form a habit. And then felt like a failure when I couldn’t grow a habit in just 21 days. Has this ever happened to you? Some habits come easily (hello, birth-control pills). Others seem to take months of persistence (running three times a week, I see you).
Stop feeling bad about how long it takes you to form a habit. Habit-forming varies as much as the individuals who want to start new habits. The ease of forming a habit depends on other things, too, such as your motivation, the trigger you choose, and your personality. Listen in today for hacks to help you form habits–whether it takes you 21 days or 21 months. You CAN find success at habit forming! Never think you’ve failed if you can’t nail the 21-day habit.

Come back next week and I’ll have a fresh podcast ready for you!
