Want to Increase Your Creativity?

Who doesn’t want to feel more creative? Whether you have writer’s block, painter’s block, or just creativity block, this episode of Self-Care Hacks is for you. You can increase your creativity by entering in to Sabbath Rest. Yep. I know it sounds counterintuitive to link rest with increased creativity, but it works.

No matter how creative we are (or aren’t), maybe we need to look at creativity from a different angle. How often do you take time to celebrate your creativity? I know I forget to celebrate all too often. Eventually, those missed opportunities suck the joy out of creating. If you have kids, think about the ways you celebrate their creative endeavors with them. You use magnets to post their pieces of ‘art’ on the refrigerator. Maybe you spend time examining in detail the pumpkin they carved or the lego extravaganza they bring to you. Those celebrations involve rest or pausing from the mundane, to take notice and celebrate.

What would happen if we paused to celebrate our own creative endeavors on a regular basis? Try it, it just might increase your creativity.
