Make sure you give the tofu time to absorb the flavors before you grill it!
2 teaspoons Adobo seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon oregano
2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 Tablespoons olive oil
3 Tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 tubs of tofu
Prepare tofu (if it’s the tub tofu variety) and then slice it into 1 centimeter-thick slices.
Mix the remaining ingredients in a large plastic bag with a zipper.
Put the tofu slices in the bad, zip it closed, shake to cover all the surfaces, and let it marinate for at least an hour. The longer the better.
Lay the pieces on your George Forman grill (or on a cookie sheet) and grill them on low (bake them at 325˚) until nicely browned.
Use them like you would grilled chicken strips in salads, on sandwiches, or eat them plain.
